Making the forest school way accessible to all.
Lucy is on a mission to make the forest school way of learning accessible to all families. This appealed to us instantly, as we love nature and being outdoors and we understand the benefits it brings.
Lucy and her son started going on long walks in the countryside and local woodlands, collecting and identifying various things. This is when Lucy had her lightbulb moment. To create an affordable and portable product that encourages children and their parents outside, learning in nature.
Even though the forest school concept is more recognised across the UK now, not everyone has access to this resource. So we needed to create a brand that’s concept was easy to understand, approachable and inclusive.
We had a few goals in mind: 1. To capture the joy of learning in nature and the positive impact it can have for the whole family. 2. To NOT make things feel childish, even though the product is for kids, it’s the parents who are the customer. So we wanted to find a good balance between minimal and playful, creating a brand that aligned with the parents style but kids could also enjoy.
We created a wordmark and icon that instantly conveys the fun, approachable tone of the brand and Lucy created some beautiful illustrations that we paired with a natural and warm colour palette.
The result is a modern brand that encourages and gently educates its audience in this beautifully natural concept .
The stock from the first production run flew off the shelves. We can’t wait to see Lucy’s product out and about in nature with as many families as possible and for Lucy’s dream to be her own boss full time, turn into reality.
